I've tried winding the new version with the date and it was very resistant at the 80% full mark. But maybe I've got wimpy and delicate fingers? Maybe I'm just used to winding normal watches? The JLC Grande Reverso 8 Day was also a difficulty for me after the power reserve was at the 80% mark.

...and I know, as you mentioned, it is a bit larger. But even with my good-sized wrist I find it a bit top-heavy. Now, your watch in stainless steel would be a killer...

I love steel. Lighter, scratch resistant, tarnish resistant...
...I look at it this way, some of Patek's most valuable watches (including my grail) are stainless steel : )
you are right ! Steel and Titanium are very popular...and many luxury companies launched watches in these metals at the same or higher prices
for Lange steel is very rare..I also like the weight of new materials like titanium/carbon but gold is..just gold 🥇

👏I did manage to try a v1 too and I think the new version is visually better and of course the movement is very much improved. The winding also seems relatively smooth, no issues! Is a dream watch for me and perhaps the highlight of my collection 🥰

that is an original a. lange strap. i asked for a red strap instead of the standard brown one when i bought the watch.

On many Langes, I don't love the bit of red on the power reserve. I tend to prefer the older models without the red. But on this model ZW, that splash of red goes really nicely with the rose gold case and black dial. It's complementary, not distracting. W...
my pleasure! the issue with the box was mainly on the leatherette inside
the one of my lange 1 bought 10 years ago was totally damaged ..I hope it has been solved in the current box 😄 which is of course not that important. They should perhaps go the Vacheron route which now gives travel puches in leather.
Did the cushion that holds the watch degrade and stick to the sides of the watch holder compartment?
Or did you experience a different problem with that older box?
All the (apparently fake) leather of the box peeled off including the cushion this was in a box around 10 years old..not sure if was

my mistake..I actually checked my old Lange 1 box (10 years old) and is in perfect condition
I probably confused the lange box with the IWC ones which were very bad quality..my bad
