Dear All, First of all, thank you so much for sharing your insights on the pros and cons of the Zeitwerk in this thread! All the comments were incredibly helpful in gathering perspectives from owners who have lived with the watch well beyond the honeymoon...  

Definitely Lange's best family of watches IMO. Like you said, completely unique with excellent dimensions given the complications. Congrats!

for the the new was always the best option due to the new movement, power reserve and..to me the rose gold & black dial combination is just wow

...and I know, as you mentioned, it is a bit larger. But even with my good-sized wrist I find it a bit top-heavy. Now, your watch in stainless steel would be a killer...

I wouldn't particularly like it in steel as it wouldn't feel as cool I think

...I look at it this way, some of Patek's most valuable watches (including my grail) are stainless steel : )

for Lange steel is very rare..I also like the weight of new materials like titanium/carbon but gold is..just gold 🥇

👏I did manage to try a v1 too and I think the new version is visually better and of course the movement is very much improved. The winding also seems relatively smooth, no issues! Is a dream watch for me and perhaps the highlight of my collection 🥰

I didn't want to jump to conclusions nor make any assumptions! I'm SUPER HAPPY for you. Woohoo! Enjoy enjoy enjoy!!! I've tried winding the new version with the date and it was very resistant at the 80% full mark. But maybe I've got wimpy and delicate fin...

That RG looks perfect on your wrist. Weird the minute hand in the date looks stuck? Great pickup

I don’t know if I ever will have such boutique delivery experience anymore with this brand…enjoy and it’s a beautiful and iconic watch, great choice.

at the same time..in different part of the world, different version but it was really cool sharing it in the forum at the same time. Back then I also thought "wow this is expensive, who would spend so much more for the Zeitwek" and here I am 😄 ! Regarding... 

I personally went for a quieter version in Platinum, but your version in RG and black is so so cool and eye catching! Wear in the best of health!

not available, but another boutique in Geneva told me that the last pieces they sold were all in platinum. I am super happy with the black/rose gold combination (I think the platinum is also heavier). The 1815 is in platinum and not too heavy but that is ...

Then lange changed to the boutique system which I wasn't very fond of but my experience in Frankfurt really changed my mind. Probably, it was destiny to buy a German watch in Germany 🇩🇪

the RG zeitwerk is a fantastic watch, i love it. for me the voice between tat one and the ZW Date was extremely tight and the choice was open until the day of the pickup from the boutique. in the end i went for the date version, but only by the tighter of...  

where did you get that gorgeous strap made 😍 love the red and really changes the look of the watch. It looks great on your wrist! love the extra date complication - probably the best display of a date in any watch. I was also tempted by the date but went ... 

that is an original a. lange strap. i asked for a red strap instead of the standard brown one when i bought the watch.

On many Langes, I don't love the bit of red on the power reserve. I tend to prefer the older models without the red. But on this model ZW, that splash of red goes really nicely with the rose gold case and black dial. It's complementary, not distracting. W...

the one of my lange 1 bought 10 years ago was totally damaged ..I hope it has been solved in the current box 😄 which is of course not that important. They should perhaps go the Vacheron route which now gives travel puches in leather.

Or did you experience a different problem with that older box?

an old type of box and this has been fixed. I noticed the new box says Made in Germany.

The oldest (pre-Richemont) Lange boxes didn't have any problems like that, from what I recall. The only problems with those old boxes were the the latches would sometimes get stuck, and the outer cardboard box lids often split on the sides. I think the le... 

I probably confused the lange box with the IWC ones which were very bad quality..my bad

to me it doesn't feel too big but I am used in wearing 42-43 mm watches..when I wear the 222 it feels a bit small sometimes!

I couldn’t agree more – Lange straps are top notch! On top of that, the dial design of this watch is very symmetrical, which is really pleasing to the eye, isn’t it?

I hope you have years of enjoyment with this one. As you saw from my pros and cons list, I think the ZW is a spectacular addition to anyone's collection.
