Clarifications about the table/year and "Soiree" name, and a Question....

Thanks guys for prompting me to clarify/correct this info in the table (and thanks for your wonderful photos over the years, Steve -- I hope you've been well). I too purchased a model 110.030 prior to 2003 (in very early 2002 -- it came from one of the first European dealers to receive them after Sincere's exclusive arrangement with Lange ended).

The 110.030 MOP guilloche was first made as an unnumbered limited production (vs. limited edition or standard production) model for Sincere in Asia. Supposedly it was 100 pieces. That was around the year 2000. Then, around early 2002, Lange made the 110.030 more available to European dealers. A bit later, around 2003, it became available to US dealers. It first appeared on US price lists in 2003, which is why I listed 2003 as the year in the "first year" column of my table.

The 110.029 plain MOP dial was never a limited production model. It was widely distributed as a standard production model around 2001, while the 110.030 was available only through Sincere. The 110.029 was called the "Soiree" when it was introduced. For a very brief time, the 110.029 and 110.030 models were both being offered at the same time, and towards the end of the time, Lange started calling the 110.030 a "Soiree" too, which caused confusion. Then Lange discontinued the 110.029 model, and the "Soiree" appellation remained with the 110.030 model, which continued to be offered for many more years (until about 2009).

QUESTION:  Can you think of any other Lange models that were first limited production (for a specific dealer) and then more widely offered? I can't.
