I love the dial of the Terraluna and, of course, it's an impressive timepiece.
But, let's face it: it's a beast and the proportions of the Langematik would work much better for me.
The L086.8 has indeed a much longer power reserve than the Sax-O-Mat, but is it as visually appealing? Not to me!

They corrected this by making an aperature for the leap year in the minute repeater. Should be easy enough to have done that originally 🤷♂️

I came close to buying the pt years ago.. but ultimately passed on it as I found the chubby Roman numerals to be not my taste
I can understand that.
I personally like the Roman numerals and they're part of the reason why I find this PC appealing, but I fully understand that one can feel differently. Best, Emmanuel

Thank you for this post on a beautiful watch that is in my view somewhat overlooked. A perpetual that is wearable, relatively legible for older eyes and is beautiful front and back. Really like the 310.028 but photos are often deceptive! Many many thanks
Both blue dial versions and both beautiful.
I haven't seen them in real life and, as you say, photos can be deceptive. But these variants look very nice indeed on photos (even if I have a personal preference for the YG version). Best, Emmanuel

The reference number (310.021) remained the same throughout the entire production run. From 2004 onwards, only the push button was recessed into the housing.

Really interesting to see this, I had no idea that there were so many variants of this watch. I have the Platinum but I think that the warmth of yellow gold suits it well and gives a more vintage feel. I do wish that Lange made bracelets for their watches...
Well, there have been bracelets at some point, but I imagine ALS doesn't make them anymore.
I like the YG version very much (my favorite), but the platinum is very beautiful too. Best, Emmanuel
