Missed Opportunity
As a PR/Marketing exercise Lange missed a dream opportunity to pay homage to Walter Lange, to help close some of the historical gaps in Lange’s history, and to show current and future owners that the company puts them first, beyond any bureaucracy. I would contact Gaetano Guillosson who is the regional representative for Lange in SEA, through the Boutique and ask for his assistance. And I would point out the arguments above for doing the right thing. Best of luck!

given the strong message of their connection to the past when marketing and promoting the brand (I just read the first page of A Lange & Sohne website). But they will not take any Lange watches not from their Manufactory or anything pre 1990? for service....
My thoughts would that if a watchmaker sells or attempts to market watches with a long rich history,
It is not unreasonable for customers to expect that any model that has been manufactured since the inception of the company can be serviced as long as the watch is authentic.

Unfortunate my first post had to be of this nature but..
As a passionate Lange collector I was very disappointed and taken aback by the apparent attitude and how things were handled. I haven't had any communication with them since a phone call from the boutique following the email.
BTW, have you reached out to Alkis here in NYC.........
He is the official servicer of Lange watches in the US. I would be surprised if he couldn't service those watches assuming no parts are missing and the watches are in working order currently. Tony
Alkis is an Official Lange Servicer but that may be limited to modern Langes...
But I'm not sure he's an Official Lange Restorer. So he may be able to service the watches and give them what they need. But he may not be able to restore them in an official capacity.
