Your photos give a remarkable view on the novelties, thanks NIcolas for your work.
- the Perpetual Calendar tourbillon. A fantastic complication presented in a very sober way. This kind of offer is rare nowadays.
great job done. I love the dial and the way it is presented. The caliber is still very nice, though I also prefer the old 3/4 rotor, I won't be too hard. And a stop second on a tourbillon is not something often seen..
A pure marvel imho, a fantastic offer in the high complications, very classy and not show off.
-New Datograph: a beautiful piece, this great movement, a big platinum case...
but they ruined the BALANCE of the old one.
.balance between the size of the lugs and the size of the case, like too many modern watches, lugs look tiny incomparison of the case, I do not find taht appealing.
.balance on the dial: not only the triandgle is not there but if you look precisely, there are some empty places on the dial. At 2 and at 10 , exactly where the roman numrals were filling it better, making another perfect triangle with the "VI".
These can be looked as details but high horology is made of details.
So still a very good watch, just not as perfect, as strong as the first one who was an icon for good reasons.
-Grande L1, like it in platinum. They corrected the dial of the previous one and the size is reduced which is a good thing. I love this icy effect of the slight grey dial, more than a black dial actually (looking back at the previous L1). But this purely a matter of taste.
Good job done here.
-Ultra thin, icy, pure, I like the caliber and I do not find it too lost. But for balance reason (caliber, lugs size) it would have better perfect in 37mm. I like it though.
cheers
