even if you are right that going legal can be time consuming and frustrating I think that writing a letter and formally requesting a new watch is very acceptable.
If they refuse well they will lose in terms of trust of the community.
I didn't have problems with my two AP but none is a complicated watch. Under these circumstances it would have been reasonable to ask from a new watch from the beginning. You have been cordial and nice but now since their solution to change the movement did not work you can request a new watch.

but i hope they manage to make things right replace the entire watch and triple QC the damn watch. Surprised for a company of such standing to have such issue so soon after the repair. Keep your chin up they will do the right thing.

What is that stuff on the movement anyway? Dirt? Oxidation? Hard to tell from the photos. Whatever it is it is totally unacceptable and AP needs to make this right in a hurry.

I know sometimes shit happens and I think most of us would give vendors we like a shot or two to fix problems, But this is embarrassing. Maybe just bad luck, but bad luck can be fixed by good service. You are a good customer - too good for AP imo.
