I actually like the Chris Bangle design era BMWs now!
I don't dislike the new one as badly as some of you, but I don't find it very elegant. I have seen the new 430i coupe in the USA market and it's not entirely elegant. However, the new 430i is not as bad in person as this picture suggests though. The problem now is that the BMW M3 is no longer as impressive as it used to be... A Tesla Model 3 Performance is faster. And the BMW 328 diesel is already sufficiently quick for most applications! The BMW 330i in the USA market has a 0-60 time in the low 5 second range, which is quite quick. The acceleration from a 4-cylinder petrol feels not dissimilar to my 545i V8-petrol from over a decade ago!

I think so too, now that it’s discontinued, it will only get better as long as no reliability issues.

Chris Harris is quite likable most of the time!
He's a good balance of both entertaining and technical. Although I wished he were more technical at times.
Chris knows when to get technical....
and when people just want to see cars going sideways.

Compare it to the E46 M3 which was love at first sight, and styled in a way that will stand the test of time. ...
I wish it was mine. I have a one generation newer M3, but I still think the E46 M3 is the most beautiful.

the design is very cool, almost "Zagato" like front grill, with this big nose: top! Best pick of the range? If M then M4, because it is a two door coupe. BUT: the M440 i is more than enough and would be my pick.

This is not Zagato character. Zagato are light, essential and fluid body line. It is avant-garde yet minimalistically voluptuous, even the kamm and double bubble is perfect balancing elements. I would say modern M4 F and G are very accomplished sportscar ...

BMW is trying to copy that engine cover design. Zagato's are always natural and fluid. Perhaps if I may choose such character with teutonic twist of style and manufactrer, it would be Audi. I try to think of this new giant kidney as extension of 1960/1970...

Plate positioning is similar to Audi. Alpha Romeo perhaps did it better but the grill is smaller.

I think that the grille will grow on me like the Audi grilles did...took awhile...former e45 M3 owner btw...had 2003 black sapphire metallic...I also think that this is a color specific model...the green looks cool.
