It is quite special.
Everyone focuses on the F1's superlative statistics; the top speed and the huge price tag at the time. However, I'm told from the friends who own these machines, the most impressive part is the lack of weight and the superlative suspension set up. I can't comment, as I never drove one. But I will say, Gordon Murray seems to daily drive a Renault Alpine. And that Alpine is one lightweight machine!
