I felt that there were A LOT of great cars this year. And while we may each have our strong opinions - only one of the cars I liked even made it up to the final four - we're not the professional judges nor experts on this class. Nor do we know exactly what these judges are looking for and we probably haven't been able to inspect the cars with the access the judges have - the ability to open every bonnet and to look and examine everything closely - we as spectators probably can't ask the bonnet to be opened and closed ten times. So, while I agree with you, that Alois Ruf's Porsche was very special and significant, and should have been more closely considered, simply not being an expert, I don't think I'm qualified to make that statement that the Porsche was "more important" than the four finalists and the one winner. Who knows, maybe you're a former Concours judge for Concours at this level and maybe you've met all the cars prior - so maybe you are qualified to make that statement. But I hadn't seen the 540K until this weekend - and I wasn't able to examine it, but I do recall it was a marvelous machine.
