The war effort brought so much industrialization, standardization of parts, and assembly line pass production to the world... So this really was a HUGE turning point for the automotive industry. So... It's natural to have this separation of time and for pre-war cars to win a larger amount of the time due to how incredibly involved and artistically made. But yes. New cars need to be celebrated too. So much crash performance, reliability, repairability, and government regulations have been added that it's truly another achievement at a whole different level.
