Look at this year, you had some actually modern cars like the Lamborghini Diablo and some fairly modern McLaren vehicles in the mix. It's turning more modern. You also have to realize that the older cars are simply more fascinating. These older cars were before mass production. A 540K or a Rolls Royce Phantom II was actually hand built, individually, and not just made on an assembly line. This coach built method and approach is definitely more fascinating than post-war cars that are built a thousand at a time. Obviously a coach built car is going to be very interesting. Out of the 72 years of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, a pre-war car has won around 50 times. And yes, it's probably heavily tilted in favor of Rolls-Royce and Mercedes vehicles as these were considered the best of their day.
