Thirty Years Old pictures of an NSX!

Taken by myself of a pal who came from Northern Ireland to run on tracks in France. By the time we got to Toulouse he had no tread left, and there were no tires to be had anywhere that fit the NSX.

He was running very hard and competitive with almost any of the cars in our group.

Typical day at the track - people just hanging about.

Here's the actual driver of the Ferrari, a gentleman by the name of Roger Clark, who some may have heard of (4x British Rally Championship) who was known for driving Fords, not Ferraris.

This car was a German version of Lotus 7 with an M3 motor assisted by NOx bottles...

We started with about 75 cars; roughly 12 blew up during the course of our very long week and ~ 5000 miles from Dover to Barcelona and back.

Just like the postman, we were not put off by rain

or snow falling in the Pyrenees

This TVR was only 3 days old when they set off for France. That's gutsy! (sorry about the spots on the image)

I drove a nearly new Golf GTi (borrowed company car)

Aston in foreground was going through almost 100 quid a day in fuel and oil ! and that was 30 years ago!
