After trying on the Classic Souscription , I asked to try on the new Type XX Chronographe 2075 . The silver dial limited edition ref. 2075BH/G9/398 wasn't available, but I could handle the regular black dial ref. 2075BH/99/398 (I dedicated a thread to bot...  

I hadn't noticed the lugs before. Now that you've drawn my eye to them I can't "unsee" them. Still a nice offering from Breguet and likely to be a commercial success. Thanks for sharing the pics and comments. M4

Breguet really tried to do everything right with their latest releases, but unfortunately I was personally convinced neither by this Type XX nor by the Souscription. Best, Emmanuel

I could possibly live with those lugs and maybe grow to love them. The gold doesn’t work for me, especially with the white dial. I wonder if there was a blue dial in gold, would I be drawn to it. I do understand what your issue is with the engraved plate ... 

How it would look with a blue dial is hard to tell for me. It could be attractive, but I think my overall feeling is that this "type" of watch (pun intended) isn't for me (even if it wore too big on my wrist, I felt much more attracted to the Souscription... 

I will continue to wait for a steel version. It may never come, so I guess I may never get one. We’ll see…

Of the two I have always much preferred the white dial limited edition as I just feel the dial is more balanced and I also like the engraved movement. But I really do think these watches really being tool watches would be much better if they came in stain... 

But I didn't have your clear-sight because I started by preferring the black version (and I was wrong)! Best, Emmanuel

what Patrick said about the logo being raised--it's out of place here. A normal 'written' logo would be better. It throws the dial off, feels inauthentic. Seeing the movement in these pics... I am not 'wowed' by the 'golden island.' The movement reminds m... 

I wasn't focused on it, but it's indeed very likely part of what feels wrong with this design. As for the movement, I couldn't agree more. Best, Emmanuel

The faceted lugs remind me of those on the Patek 5575G, they might still appeal to you over time. But I dislike back too, to me it was made worse with this three-quarter plate. Sometimes, I am happy with such disappointment, else there will be too many pi...

But there's still time! There are several more pieces coming. I was never a fan of the Type XX line. It reminded me too much of a typical Rolex-type sports watch. The GM of the NY 5th Avenue boutique gave me a hint about one of the upcoming pieces, and I'...
