This date window is a disaster and completely ruins this wonderful dial.
A wonderful solution to this date window dilemma would be this black dialed magnificent minute repeater in RG — besides the unfortunately 10-piece limited Japanese version. 
I had the honor and opportunity to try it on a wrist a few weeks ago.
A breathtaking beauty, but unfortunately, price-wise, it's in a completely different league. Alas…

As much as I like having the date on my watches, I fully agree with you on this one!
The decision to put a numeral next to the date is bizarre. Have one or the other, but not both. Otherwise a beautiful watch. All the best, Jon

Years ago I tried a MR from Breguet (I don’t remember the reference), and the sound was - for me - far less loud and full…

I recently had my IWC MR serviced. It came back with a new, much better sound. Perhaps they replaced the entire module? What I notice, however, is that the sequence of tones is now much faster. Almost too fast for my taste… ...

But the repetition beats are so fast that I can barely keep up with counting. Do you know why that might be? Or is this normal?
