I too tried on the Perpetual Tortue and it looked silly because it was so big. In fact, the magnified crystal made it look like a counterfeit, but I don't think they have counterfeits at the boutique in Vancouver.
Having said this, my next purchase is the Rotunde Big Date with Power reserve. It measures a perfect 42 mm but looks bigger due to the full dial.
