I am a 26yo collector of Cartier watches among others things. I wanted to voice my opinion that Cartier has done a remarkable elevating the technicals of watch making but the newest watches are all way too big. I frequently travel between London, NYC, and...  

Certain watches like the Tortue QP you mention will be more elegant and attractive if they were slimmer. Some, like the Astroregulateur, are too big. But, and this is a big "but", Cartier is listening to the consumer. The Pasha skeleton tourbillon of 2011...  

...for most Asian wrist, especially for a dress watch. This is a nice Pasha. Regards

I too tried on the Perpetual Tortue and it looked silly because it was so big. In fact, the magnified crystal made it look like a counterfeit, but I don't think they have counterfeits at the boutique in Vancouver. Having said this, my next purchase is the...

There are two models from Fine Watchmaking to be launched next week at SIHH off the top of my head that are modest in size and design. As for cufflinks, we'll see, that's not my expertise. ;-) - SJX
