Chopard

Nice review SJX!

As a fan of micro-rotored movements, I am quite a fan of the 1.96 and 9.96 Chopard movements.

Thank you for the impressive macro photographs. I first scanned the photographs prior to reading the actual review and I too noticed the 12 on the dial to be slightly mal-positioned. I think it is important to get large photographs of one's watch, everyone should take macro-photographs of their timepieces and inspect the timepiece for uniform quality and consistency.

In your last photograph, there also appears to be a small nick on the bottom of the winding rotor, perhaps a mark of a tweezer.

The overall review was very detailed and covered more things than crossed my mind. However, I do think that we share the same values; for instance I completely agree that the L.U.C line does not have a "coherent identity" and basically I can't tell what is Chopard L.U.C DNA. However, despite this, I am confident that in the near future, we will have a better understanding of what is considered to be Chopard L.U.C DNA as its design team firm-up on some of the designs and take design cues from pieces constructed in the past.

Thank you for the superb review! It's nice to have a watch with the Fleurier Seal!
