As an old fan of the LUC watches with an original Ref 16/1860/1, I prefer the classic designs from Chopard and find the Tech series design (hehehe) .... a bit bland 
Vive la difference! There is something for everyone at LUC.
But we both agree that the LUC micro-rotor movements are top grade finished and engineered offerings for our money!
The LUC 1.98 is an ancestor of the 9.96 movement albeit a manual-wind quadruple barrel main-spring design.....more like a grand-uncle.

A great review of some personal wrist time
This is a great piece and probably the only LUC Tech to agree with my eye immediately. For anyone looking to start their appreciation of LUC, I think this watch at its price point makes it very hard to ignore.

A great review of a very elegant piece. It's one of the most beautiful creations by Chopard I've ever seen. If it were a couple of milimeters bigger, I'd probably consider picking one up.

SJX, you surprised me by stating that QF is a marketing device.

First, congratulations on attaining a beautiful timepiece. I think this is the best of the Qualite Fleurier line. The dial is so very attractive. It manages to be both elegant and youthful, edgy. Not an easy feat! The L.U.C. movement is beautifully finish...
