A little bit of an unloved version.
I was able to pick this "G" serial Exp II around 2010/11 from my AD. I wind it once a month, but still have not pulled the plastic off and worn it. I know, so dumb, but sometimes it's nice to see a 14 year old watch in NOS condition.
I think this is the first time I ever took a picture of it since I bought it.

Now Rolex AD takes off all the stickers. Such a beautiful watch. I almost feel like you can’t wear it now that it’s been unworn for so long.
That’s sort of how I feel too.
I could use it as part of a trade to a secondary dealer for something I really want, but they never give enough so I’m stuck with it 😂

I noticed that too when I bought my wife a Rolex for Christmas this year. They took the sticker off. Is that to discourage flipping it?

If you can’t drink it because it’s worth too much. Then you would never buy the bottle at that price and you should sell it and buy something else that you could drink (until that gets too expensive)

Compared to many other Rolex models.
Like the polar version, the Submariner, the Daytona, the OP with colored dials, etc. It’s still fairly easily gettable at fair pricing. If it was a more desirable model, prices would be stupid. I hope that makes sense.

I am surprised we don't see more of these completely unused examples more often. Either way, you'll be really happy if you one day start using this piece. Or if you don't, whomever eventually does get this piece will be really happy to get it!

I don't have 10 year old watches that have never been used, but I certainly have 2-3 year old ones that have never been used.

Now if I was fortunate enough to own such a beauty it’d be stickers off and on my wrist everywhere and purists would be sick to death with all the Exp 2 posts.. Or would I? 😉 🍻

My first Rolex ever was the white dial version of this. I have often thought of getting another, or the black dial. I love the red hand on it. And maybe both…great pieces and I cannot understand why they are not as popular because they are awesome pieces…...
