and, indeed, it seems you like wearing your 5960A: it is easily felt from your posts. I think Nicolas likes it too (with strap) and I must say that I also keep it somewhere up in the list (many here won't share my opinion but I think it is my favorite 596... 

With a crocodile strap 5960 feels very light and easy to wear. The trick seems to be that crocodile is somehow much smoother than the calf with carbon pattern I tried earlier. My surprise was 5905P. The watch feels good on the wrist even it's heavy, 14.05... 

Indeed the fact the "carbon"-like strap feels more rigid is something I'm not surprise to learn. For my watches, I thought I had to consider other materials as very thin ones (no stiches but glued, not to be chosen with thick watches though) or lizard, ga... 

Mark, I have noticed that nothing feels as good on the wrist than a crocodile strap that has been used enough. So beauty can't be the only reason why higher end watches are normally equipped with crocodile straps. Best, Kari

as comfort is indeed a clear asset of the croc strap when "used enough". Even when not about comfort, it is difficult to "open" to new material. However, I'll try to make an effort next time I go for a bespoke strap. Cheers, Mark

The strap on the 5960 makes such a big difference! However I prefer the 5905 because of the sexy lugs and overall dial aesthetics , plus shape of the new pushers! BTW, the 5960 pushers are hard to press. What about the 5905? Cheers, Gordon

It would be cool but it is hard to get a rubber strap with custom fitting. Best Kari
