Can my super tiny wrist carry a Lange 1?
Dear all,
I am planning to acquire my first ALS. As you might remember that I was struggling between Lange 1 (pre-owned) and Saxonia Thin 37mm. And I AM STILL STRUGGLING!
I like both watch very much in different way. One is unique with strong wrist presence, another one is soft, low-key and timelessly elegant.
Recently I tried both watch on my super tiny wrist (less than 6"). I have taken few photos, would you think the Lange 1 will be a bit too big and too "heavy" (due to the thickness) on me?
My current collection includes a PP 5110R, PP 5035G, Arnold & Son HM Perpetual Moon in steel and an IWC Portuguese. Since my taste evolved I actually find the last two a tad big to me now...

How about a single deployment/fold clasp?
At first, I was dubious about the new fanged gadgets. But, I have discovered that a very precise fit is possible. There are after-market straps with clasps.

The 1 looks fine to me - your wrist can take it
But more importantly - if it feels right to you then it is!
If you like it, you can pull it off.
The size does not matter, only how you feel wearing it.

They are on the large size, but pics do generally enhance the \'lug overhang\'. Go for the one you like and wear it with joy

I sympathize! My wrists are tiny too (about the same as yours).
I would second the suggestion of the little Lange (36mm) or the 35mm Saxonia. That said, the Saxonia thin at 37mm looks quite good too, but in my very limited experience the nagging little feeling that it might be too large is hard to dispel.

I have the exact same problem
I wanted the Sax AC which I believe is the same size. It is not so much that the watch is big, the lugs are too long IMO but that is how ALS is. One way around the lugs sticking out is to get a thicker strap or have a customised strap to the right length,...

And went to try on the Saxonia 35mm today. And it fits nicely on my wrist (thank god). I also love the fact that its price is same as the Thin 37mm, making the decision much easier. Now, I'd prefer a PG version of this beauty. ...

Like you I struggled but between the Saxonia and VC tradionalle. I went with VC at the end but the Saxonia remains on my target list. Anyway, they are both desirable but think Saxonia suitd you better.

a fellow purist with a small wrist! Both the Lange 1 and Saxonia thin are too large for you. My suggestion is that you opt for the 35mm Saxonia which should be a perfect for your wrist.

The feeling to a watch changes over time.
I used to think 40mm is too big for me, and I traded it. Now I'm a little bit regretted for that decision. I guess L1 is not as big as you might feel

Why not! The little Lange 1 is something I'd like to see. Without pusher, the watch seems to be more elegant.
