Down To One Watch (almost)
Something I NEVER thought I would ever type!
I've had more watches than I've had room to store them in the past, but the longer I've been involved in this hobby, the more I've let go.
In the last year or two I've been working hard to get three watches which (for me) cover all eventualities and ended up with the three below.
The Sub was my daily, the JLC my beater and the AP for 'posh', well, that was the idea. The trio took me some time to 'perfect', but there's something just not working. I blame the JLC for being so good.
I bought the JLC back after selling it 4 years previous and it's the only watch I've worn all year. It does everything for me and the other two are not needed.
Will I get bored? Not sure, but they're watches that can be bought again, so I want to try. I've ordered an oem black alligator strap for the JLC, to smarten it up a little more and then the experiment begins.

Congratulations for getting down to three! A great three watch collection. I would just miss a dress watch here.
I don‘t think I‘d be able to go down to three at the moment. I think watch collecting is some sort of addiction.

I'll still dabble with watches, but my serious collecting days are over...

I also downsized my collection (a bit) to fund new pieces, since you have "just 3"
why get to 1? the rolex will be difficult to get and so the AP. 3 seems to be a good number and mentally, just want to understand

A good journey to one watch. Why it is interesting is that i have almost the same plan. Not to only one watch, but to consolidate to perfecting my watch collection.
This is a fantastic three watch collection!!!
But will you be strong enough in years to come to keep it at three. 😉

a dive watch but a chrono, a diver, and a dress one are just perfect...

If it were me I'd lock away the other two, especially the RO, as replacing might not be straight forward. Even better idea, I'll look after it for you and you can have visitation rights when in Limavady!!
