How do you set your watches?
Dear friends, one question I often have in my mind is: how do you set your watches?
Many of you have several watches, some of them you'll wear frequently, others will be on your wrists for special occasions. Do you keep all your watches on winders? Do you have your rituals to wind them every morning? Let them sit still and set the time when you take them out?
I keep my watches in a drawer and most of them are not running. I set the one I decide to wear today and take the time from my "master clock": a manual-wind Parmigiani Ionica with a power reserve of 8 days. This one is wound every weekend, and to serve its purpose, this one must be regulated to be right on time.

The next question: how do you set your watch?
When I set the time I always make sure that the minute hand is set correct relative to the seconds hand. I can't stand it if the minute hand points straight at the minute marker while the seconds hand stands at 30 sec. I know it 's nerdy, but I can't help it.
On the other hand, I usually don't care to set the date. I prefer watches without date function but the ones who have a date, I don't bother to set it. On my perpetual calendar though, I insist the day/date/month indicators must all be set - it's the purpose of a perpetual after all.
I'm curious to hear from you. Let me know your stories.
