Ok, I will tell you all... I am considering getting one Volvo P 1800.
I did my homework, and it seems that both the S and the E ( SU Carburators / Electronic Injection ) are reliable.
The Injection ( E ) is a bit more powerful ( 120 HP ) while the Carburators are somewhere between 909 and 105 HP.
Insurance and service costs are human.
Getting a very nice one is somewhere around 15 K Euros.
I didn't try one, yet, and a lot of people told me that I would be bored very quickly with such a car.
I am not after a muscle car, I don't have the means to go for a De Tomaso Mangusta ( I treid one, by the way... Fantastic ) or a Ferrari, even a nice Porsche 911.
So, what do you tjink? Would I be that bored with such a car?

But the dealer seems to be veni vidi vici classic cars bv I find the price correct for such a great car. I never had a problem to buy and immatriculate an oldtimer within europe ( and i am a designer that means i am just not able to understand formalities...

If you enjoy it then it\'s a no brainer! Plus the vintage technology is something that you can roll up your sleeves and tinker with with should you feel the desire to get your hands dirty!
Were any reasons given as to what would bore you?
Sounds like a strange reason. I'd recommend the later fuel-injected E. It's not that I don't like carburettors, but for the fact that it has 4 wheel discs. Not that you'll really notice the extra power, but they are nicer to keep in good order.

Due to an anemic motor... Agreed on the wheel discs, and not a very bigger power, while I prefer the purer line of the " S "... It is a question of compromise, I guess. Thanks for your feedback, Ben! Nicolas

Oliver has pointed out the biggest danger. I would say go for it. Driving isn't only about power and acceleration. But do be careful that you get the car for yourself from time to time. Don

As Luc states, it brings you to another era, i always have that feeling when driving an old car ... BUT ... be aware ... never take this car for a spin whenever you're in a hurry because then the fun stays away. You can perfectly go on holidays with a car...
