Rare bird: Patek Philippe ref. 5296 Pisa Orologeria edition
In 2008, for the opening of the new boutique of the Milano retailer 'Pisa Orologeria 1940' (via Pietro Verri), Patek Philippe launched a 50 pcs limited edition of the ref. 5296: 25 pcs in white gold & 25 in rose gold.
Powered by caliber 324 SC, the model came with Breguet numerals, modified red hour markings and a red seconds hand.
This limited edition has been mentioned on this site, but only rarely: by Grisar, by Mark in Paris and by Patekova here and there.

Yes it looks very good and it’s a rare model
with lumed hands. But it was sold 2 days after I tried it on. When I came back to see it again it wasn’t for sale anymore !

I’ve tried similar experiences a couple of times as I have had bad experiences with impulse purchases and always like to sleep on a decision. That’s the downside though. I hope you find a better one then 🤗

This is the kind of design which would have to be seen in real life I think because the red might be less aggressive than in pictures (just my guess).

The date window is quite nicely intergrated here
But 2 things are holding me back : - the minute hand is kinda relatively short compared to the hour hand - the minute markers are 1/5 but the watch is 4hz..
