The “zen garden”
I believe this watch has so much going for it. The minimalist dial and a perfectly proportioned case + the brushed bracelet all reduce it to the essential of a Rolex. I see it as a future classic.
However, i think it’s greatest strength is also its weakness. In the pale Nordic winter light it appears downright boring at most times. So the watch has been sitting in my watch box for the past six months. Now that the spring light has arrived I can again see it’s beautiful texture of the dial. All I need is a nice tan and I think I have the perfect companion for this summer.

I completely agree with your conclusion. It would be interesting to see it on a strap and then see how it changes.

And I completely agree about being in the mood for this subtle aesthetic. Sometimes it’s just too restrained and underplayed. Other days it really tickles me.

I’m not surprised that you would appreciate this watch. It’s the sort of watch that is just PERFECT for some days. I’m really happy I added it to my box as I think it holds a special place.
I had searched high and low for this one, and eventually found one.
But I wasn’t convinced on the size for me (I know that sounds odd given I also wear Subs, Daytona happily). But I loved the watch, it was a winner in my mind. Glad you “found” it again ! And are enjoying it.

Yes, it wasn’t as small as I’d hoped (if that makes sense).
For me, with the OP I decided that 36mm was the best size.
