Hi, let me try to explain ;-)
Well, what I meant is, that the brand is not as "hot" among watch collectors and watch enthusiasts who collect more than one brand - e.g. most of the people I got to know in the watch scene collect Panerai, Rolex, Patek, AP, IWC, etc. and in this group a GP is rather an "exotic" fiend, but that's just my experience in the small watch world of mine.
Personally, I love several of GP's models, the SH of course, but also the Richeville chrono and the Vintage 1945 line, just very recently I got my wife a GP as well. It's a discontinued model, but imho a great, heavy, valuable watch!!

thanks for sharing your views and I agree with you. GP is a good brand but not as well known. Apart from the complication and tourbillon, I find it lacks the finish touch of say brands like Patek, A Lange & Sohnes and VC but they are a lot more expensive ...
