As GM of this site, you did hit a senstivie spot of the mod team and exec team

Our site is about "Passion. Opinion, Information", and the moderator and executive team take our objectivity very seriously. We point out all flaws we find as well as all the good in watches we review, so I'm not sure where you're coming from with your statement:

"in this community, there are folks who are brand champions, either because they love (which could be loving blindly all the time or not), or have been plied with freebies, goodies, the treatment, better discounts and loan watches from the brands to the point that perhaps their objectivity can be a little hazy. don't have to bother with some(not all yuh) watch magazine journos as well, as they'll sing praises of any brand that will do a lot of advertising with them and keep offering them cheaper watches. sorry i digress..."

I've personally never received any freebies, goodies, or better discounts from any of the brands and do NOT request any and never have. Of course I always try to get a discount because most watches don't sell at full retail price, and I will bargain with the AD's as I do with any AD's call up on the phone because I want to get it at the cheapest price just like you would do when you're in the market to buy a particular watch. I always want to be treated the same as any John Doe on the street, even when I have to send in a watch for repair. But never I do say "I'm the GM of PuristSPro so you better give me an extra discount ."

Yes I've received special treatment such as getting 1 hour appointments at SIHH instead of the standard 30 minutes, but that's all part of the game. And yes we've received some loaner watches to wear for reviews, but if you've read all our past reviews, these reviews are all objective and point out any flaws, some of which the brands did not like. I've even had a CEO email me personally asking me why I pointed out these flaws!

For any brand to work with PuristSPro, they must be willing to accept good comments as well as the bad. We do not post jibberish hyping watches from brands because reviews such as those are garbage IMO.

Objectivity is what makes this site what it is today.

If you did not mean to infer "in this community" to the moderator team here, then I'd appreciate it if you proof your posts before you post them.
