Horological Meandering

I disagree with a significant chunk of what you've written

You're entitled to your opinion. Here's mine, based on what I saw in Geneva.

1. The Urwerk 103T is more of the same. It may be "cool", maybe even uber-cool, but it is nothing new. It is disappointing.

2. The AP Chronometer is technically very interesting and well finished. As for price, do you really think an Urwerk or MB&F is reasonably priced? I like the HM2 ceramic by the way.

3. De Bethune - you are entitled not to like their DESIGNS. But in terms of quality - finishing and components - as well as innovation - new escapements and user-adjustable beat rate, they are without peer.

4. The new IWC Aquatimers are definitely not as distinctive as the old ones, some of them remind me of TAG Heuer, but their build quality is far, far beyond what TAG Heuer offers. The sapphire bezels are a big upgrade.

5. VC&A, Piaget and Cartier - how wrong you are. Cartier's new high horology, especially the Chronograph Central, is outstanding. Piaget has done a great job diversifying away from jewellery. VC&A makes an incredibly range of female watches, including complications.
