what happens if u wind your manual wind watch counter clock wise
silly question to some perhaps, but a friend of mine just posed that question to me and I don't know the answer. any expert here can share their knowledge on this? thanks.
Few know this, yet after six winds then start chanting the words "Philippe Dufour" three times and he will magically appear*
*only works when using a Dufour timepiece.
I suggest you (and your friend) test it yourselves!
But I anticipate that your finding will be: nothing happens
You didn't mention which watch... It depends on the watch!
The question isn't complete. You didn't mention which watch. There are watches that wind both directions because they have separate mainsprings - one for a complication and one for the time keeping. For instance some Audemars Piguet Grand Sonneries winds ...

Just kidding, it won't have any effect. But if you wind the watch counter-clockwise all the time, it's not good for the watch, I guess.
