This sparks a question of mine, and I think you are the right person to answer it.
Is “constant force” as we understand it as a means to more constant timekeeping just a gimmick? By that I mean is the positioning of the remontoir, todays solutions which are sold to us, such that it can’t really do much if anything about the true rate of the watch.
Mr Journe has said (paraphrasing) that constant force is not actually attainable in a wrist watch. And I’m not sure I fully understand his statement.

Nonstandard time displays, asymmetric dials, subseconds, remontoir, power reserve, PT case, manual wind, uncommon/unrecognized brand among the public, and BEAUTY. That's everything I can think of!.
