Horological Meandering

There are many ways to achieve the correct display of time. Not least the skills of the watchmaker. This is the explanation for the fact that at the time when observatory chronometer competitions were held, it was both the watch and the Master watchmaker who were mentioned as winners.

With Remontoir de égalité/Constants Force up, you can achieve a more even distribution of power discharge from the spring barrel, but you can also regulate the strength of the power to the watch's escapement. both F.P TN and Zeitwerk have more powerful spring in spring barrel. In TN the tourbillion cage must also be operated, and at Zietwerk the time discs.

Without the Remontoir de égalité/Constants Force in the Zeitwerk, the caliber would simply break. The powerful spring would be too much force and it could not be handled in any other way.

The spring barrel in the Zeitwerk does nothing for approximately 55 seconds, (caliber L043.1) after which it briefly lets energy through, then again does nothing for 55 seconds. The watch is powered by the energy supplied to the Remontoir de égalité/Constants Force spring. In this way, they have managed both the power and accuracy of the energy that comes to the escapement.
