Ebel Repair

I'm a watch novice so I hope some of you mayvens can help with this question.  My daughter's jeweler sent her 11 year old Ebel Sportwave to Ebel for a new battery and pressure testing.  The charge was to be $135.  The jeweler was told by Ebel that they recommend a new quartz movement and gasket along with the battery for a price of $295.  She really enjoys the watch, and she would pay the larger amount if this isn't just a sales tactic used by Ebel to make a little more money.  Does the recommeded new movement and gasket sound reasonable?  What would you all recommend?  Thanks in advance for any advice you have for us.
