Horological Meandering

Future Vintage

Lately I have been thinking about which watches that are being produced today and in the last 10 years will be sought after 30 years from now, sold for high prices at auctions, and stand the test of time.  With so many watches being produced each year I think most will fade into obscurity over time, but a small number will persist.  Will classic  styles and remakes of classic designs be popular (example VC Historiques) , or will new designs like RM, Uwerk, MB&F and others still be desirable in 30 years?  What do you think?  I would love to hear everyone's opinion on what will still be popular down the road.
