... I really like it, and of course, you are correct. The sad fact is that we, as we are assembled here, do barely represent the target group of even such niche magazines as the watch press. We might be interested in specialities, but the majority of magazine buyers will be intrigued by the "Editors' treasure chest". While most of us will have to stick to "bread-and-butter" (watches, cars, or whatever), the magazine cover is becoming really attractive if it shows a real dream piece we would never be able to buy ourselves, and promises an "extensive test", even if this is barely more than a report on opening the box and picking it out with gloved hands. Yet it accounts for magazine sales, and the authors have to respect that.
