Hi Ling,
Welcome to reality....
As BDJL and many others have already pointed out.... Marketing Managers do not put their advertising dollar into a media which is uncomplimentary to their product.
But this not only applies to watches, cars, yachts and all commercial products... it is how the real world works... unfortunately it goes way beyond retail products right to the top.
Think about this next time you read or hear the news.
Think about heads of Government who invite members of the Press to accompany them in their jet to cover meetings or happenings.... do you think if that press member gives bad press, he or she will be invited on the next trip?
Do you think if their Editor printed bad press, his staff would be invited on the next trip? All media survives through getting advertising dollars.
Governments are the largest advertiser in their country..... So, would governments spend their advertising budget with a media that 'knock' Government.... of course not... the big dollars go to friendly press.
Sadly, that is the way the world works.
When I was about 9 years old, a wise man told me;
Believe nothing you hear or read, and only half of what you see.
That sounded a little drastic at that young age.... but I have carried his advice with me and used it all of my life.... and I find that the older I get.... the more truth is in it.
When we can 'see' how reality works, we are much wiser...... and unfortunately, sometimes also a little sadder.
Yes, it would be nice if the world was an honest place... but it is not..... it is a commercial place, and it works by separating us from our dollar.
The trick for you, and I, and every thinking person on this planet, is to think for ourself..... and make our decisions based on our assessments and personal experiences.
Sincerely,
Jack
