I'd also say that the 5270 vs a Lange Datograph is actually not that different.

 

What's more different is the style. The German style IS EXTREMELY DECORATIVE and looks EXTREMELY DECORATIVE. The Swiss-French style is nearly just as decorative but it doesn't look as nice - especially brass movements vs German silver movements. So I'd say while the Lange does look better. It's not taking that much more time to decorate than the 5270. Now, between a "standard" Patek and a "standard" Lange, the Lange wins hands down every time. A lot more time goes into the Lange at the $30,000 price level.
