I think the 6 is right
It is opposite the 12 and they are both right side
up to each other. Now comes the part where I
could be completely off, but maybe not. In order
to read 1 o'clock through 5 o'clock as if you were
seeing them straight on, you'd tilt your head to the
right. At 6 o'clock you see it straight on. Then from
7 o'clock to 11 o'clock the head tilts to the left to
see each hour straight on. I haven't yet finished
my first cup of coffee this morning and got only
a few hours sleep last night, so if this seems
crazy, forgive me!
Is the “6” upside down on this dial?
Its orientation is unique An error, or perhaps a feature! ...

The numbers around the dial being up right or continuing around upside down. Personally I prefer the upright but I think I was in the minority or great unwashed group. LOL
What about the 6 after the 7 on the date?
...this is why I don't like numbers to be 'flipped' on dials...
I like the idea, but it should be carried throughout IMO.
The dial part more of less flow with the upside down numbers. But then as pointed out, the date wheel is a mess (at lest to me). It's a mish-mash of upright and strangely tilted/slanted numbers. And I see that "6" for a "9" and the upside down 21 next to ...
