My fear is
that if a big part of the watches would be sold from the Boutiques, the level of service would drop dramatically.
Last time we visited Paris, we wanted to buy a hand bag for my wife. We went to the LV Boutique on the main street. The staff looked us like we would be dirty rats who came to eat their cheese. If I asked something, the attitude was unfriendly and arrogant. However, we got a smile but a very formal one.
So we went to a Channel Boutique and got the best of service. It was a real pleasure to visit there and my wife soon got her 2nd Channel handbag. She liked the experience so much that Santa Claus brought her the 3rd.
Bad staff in the Brand Boutiques can also act against the Brand. At least we will never again visit a Louis Vuitton Boutique in Paris and elsewhere with great difficulty.
