And agree with you when brands fall far below estimates.
For me personally, I give all these brands credit for their generosity to support this auction and for several of these brands who didnt meet the low estimate, I learned alot more about their brand and timepieces.
That is the good publicity part I meant (at least good publicity to me). Even if far below estimates, the charity still benefited from the kind gestures of the brands so kudos to them!

a lot to do with the price the Patek ended up. Everyone anticipated the Patek top the charts. So naturally those who really wanted it knew they had to fork out a substantial amount of donation. I am not sure of the auction mode. (Open bid, close bid, mix ...

The Brands generosity is out of the question...
I respect their involvement for such a great initiative..... Mine was just a watch related rant and consideration that is definitely second to the main purpose of Only Watch. Big applause again for such a charitable initiative. Best Robin. Mo
