Yes Robin,you are right..the cause is noble and we should all cherish..but..
on your point that the brands all had good publicity........well.....ask Claret if he is happy with the result....I bet he would ve rather not being there....
Lets say that some managed to save their face...others..well fell flat on it...no matter the cause(super happy for this amount gathered for charity),these events are benchmarks for values of brands...
If we consider that Patek sell itself,the auction organisers did a very poor job in promoting the other pieces..
