Very interesting post..
I really enjoyed reading your insights. One point however is that whenever I travel on business I tend to wear a beater watch most of the time and keep a nice one for meetings, business dinners or social gatherings if so needed. Maybe thats why you didn't see many high-end pieces in hotels and lounges.
