Attention to detail!
Hi Stephen!
I was laughing as I read your post because I _absolutely_ know what you mean about being unable to sleep at night because the crown of my PT watch is WG! For me, as for you, deciding on watches is as much about attention to detail as it is about overall form and function, I think.
In the same way that small details can turn me off about a watch, in other cases it's the small (and thoughtful) things that really make me appreciate a watch. So, for instance, with this piece the tiny extension of the Roman V that is visible next to the seconds sub-dial is something I really appreciate.
And, as I've written before, sometimes the very act of writing here about the few things that bother me about a watch make me stop obsessing about them! Once I've admitted publicly that something isn't perfect, its imperfection becomes less troubling ("oh -- so is that all that's wrong about it?").
