I think this is an important message what you highlighted here, Mark...
that independents approach watchmaking differently than the big brands, and thus yield totally different results. This I think is extremely enriching and educating, regardless how much one likes (or dislikes) the final result.
This should not be a judgement of one approach above another - they are different and yield different outcomes. This I think is already worth contemplating.
