In a world where we strive for exclusivity, the Nautilus is more common.
When I saw the Gronefeld , I was so impressed that I was very close to purge some of my watches for it .You can get the Patek back later on if you wish .

there was another similar thread of trading a 5711 for 5070. I think now people are starting to realize “value”. However, if that’s my only Nautilus and now that’s it’s discontinued, I will be hesitant unless maybe I swap for another PP Grand complication...
5-1 so far on keeping the Nautilus is not what I was expecting.

I know I'm in the minority here but I'd do it in a heartbeat! If the PP was a 5070, maybe not. Still, follow your heart, not mine.
At this point I don’t have any watches in my collection that I would be indifferent about letting go of.
So to answer your question, yes I would miss the Nautilus, and this is really where my hesitation started. Perhaps that’s all I need to consider and beyond that I’m just over complicating things.

The nautilus is nice, but the Gronefeld is a real piece of art. Quite surprised that the most responses favor keeping the Patek, especially on the independents forum.

If that's the case, I agree that you need to be getting more for the trade. I think a 1941 with Kari dial should be priced in the 50-70K range depending on material, condition, and dial type. Regardless, I'd cash in on the nautilus hype and sell.

Yes, I would say that it's more that I have room to possess one less sports watch than a need for something more formal.

Thank you for the opportunity to “weigh-in” on your decision! First, I’d determine which piece “moves” you the most.
Next, I’d assess monetary value, which is worth more. I’d also think about rarity. For me, I like what many do not have. Full disclosure here, I favor the Gronefeld and have one, but YOU must decide which one. Good luck with your decision!

Something really special to me having the Remontoire on my wrist, it just seems perfect. The WG with the KV dial is absolutely stunning. I know it is a difficult decision for you but make your choice and don’t look back.
