It's a very difficult question.
I myself Had the possibility few years ago to buy a 5726 at the AD and didn't do it. I did buy a Grönefeld, though, so my Overall choice would definitly be the Remontoire.
The question of swapping both now is much more difficult. If you do like the 5726 a lot, you could regret it for a long time. Even if you get one back after some time, it will probably not be yours. And it might even be more expensive. The value development of the Remontoire on the other hand is unclear. And even if you really like the Remontoire, the experience could be a bad one, because you'll always think about the gone 5726.
So, in your Position, I'd probably only Swap the 5726, If I'd plan to let it go anyway. Think of it that way: would you now sell the 5726 without the possibility to buy a Remontoire?

there was another similar thread of trading a 5711 for 5070. I think now people are starting to realize “value”. However, if that’s my only Nautilus and now that’s it’s discontinued, I will be hesitant unless maybe I swap for another PP Grand complication...
5-1 so far on keeping the Nautilus is not what I was expecting.

I know I'm in the minority here but I'd do it in a heartbeat! If the PP was a 5070, maybe not. Still, follow your heart, not mine.
At this point I don’t have any watches in my collection that I would be indifferent about letting go of.
So to answer your question, yes I would miss the Nautilus, and this is really where my hesitation started. Perhaps that’s all I need to consider and beyond that I’m just over complicating things.

If that's the case, I agree that you need to be getting more for the trade. I think a 1941 with Kari dial should be priced in the 50-70K range depending on material, condition, and dial type. Regardless, I'd cash in on the nautilus hype and sell.

You raise a great question about the role of the Nautilus in the collection. I would say that yes, it is definitely the king of the sports watch pile. The conundrum you present is exactly why this is a difficult decision for me.

Next, I’d assess monetary value, which is worth more. I’d also think about rarity. For me, I like what many do not have. Full disclosure here, I favor the Gronefeld and have one, but YOU must decide which one. Good luck with your decision!

Great thoughts. This is not the first time I've thought of letting go of the 5726, and I doubt it would be the last.
Honestly, I think if I had another Nautilus I'd have less hesitation.

Something really special to me having the Remontoire on my wrist, it just seems perfect. The WG with the KV dial is absolutely stunning. I know it is a difficult decision for you but make your choice and don’t look back.
