Very cool, huge congratulations, and as someone that is a tide-sensitive sailor (grounded 3x this summer?), I am very impressed by how thoughtfully this watch was designed/engineered. I am quite envious of the 33 owners, and will keep a lookout if any come to market.
Q- there doesn't seem to be mention of the movement on the exclusive-dealer's website, what is it like?

How much I will really benefit from the complication in real life remains to be seen but it is an unusual one for sure 😁

Although I did attempt to take penguins to the North Pole for a marketing shoot some years ago but was told they would probably freeze to death and that they do not appreciate being dressed up in branded vests to keep them warm 🤷🏻♂️😂 One lives and learns...
Yes, penguins live in the Southern Hemisphere, not Arctic / North Pole
I think they get dizzy and fall over when you spin them in the opposite direction "up north" (obviously guessing) but they seem quite happy to be living a few miles from me at Sea World AND the San Diego Zoo, where they are fed regularly and don't have to...

Regarding the interesting complication: how is it set / read / used?

The moon phase is set by a pusher at 4 o’clock. The tide is set via the crown and read centrally - the paddle shaped hand indicates it, with the top (12 o’clock) position being high tide and low tide at 6.

You need a dedicated table per location but then close locations would not differ markedly. Nowadays that’s also a click of a button away online to find it and setting it is easy. I guess if you were at sea you would on occasion update it. And if you are ...
