Just after I posted a picture of this watch all of a sudden I noticed it there’s a piece missing in front of the crown. On top of that it still makes a clicking noise. This has already been sent to Switzerland once. It’s getting a little old. ...

But like a lot of other hype driven indys, the more you look, the less there is to like. Sorry to hear about this. I hope LF takes care of you.

While i was admiring my mass produced made watch, many independents are hypes and prisoned by fashion. Daniel Roth, and when i thought Speake Marin it is different cause nice watches.

But to me they are much more convenient. You have a lot less to worry about if something goes wrong. I'll take reliability over hand made exclusivity any day.

I bought my first vintage watch. They warn me about going into vintage, so i keep a gap that my purchase can be a disaster. It is a mass produced Bulova, and i can not wait to see it in the flash. White dial, 24h dial, grey strap, no crown, 35,6mm case, r...

…if there is no need to access anything under the cap then this seems to be sub-optimal engineering. Just make it solid. If you’re trying to save weight (pointless imho) then use a decent welding/adhesive method.

Lower production cost? Seems so odd.

The words a Monday morning product is telling me, stay away from LF. I feel the disappointment in your post Tony. I must be very lucky that every watch in my collection have no failures at all.

I'm a bit surprised with the construction of the crown, and the look of the inner part. I do hope that it is sorted soon and you can enjoy the watch! Cheers!

LF will first ask us all not to make hasty assumptions that it's LF's fault and that it might be something you did. So they'll ask you if it's possible that you knocked the watch or bumped it. If you say no, they'll ask if it's possible if your dog or cat... 

They shouldn't make these things that fragile.

I'm really careful. In a crowded place, I'll cover my watch with my hand if I'm wearing short sleeves. Or I'll roll my sleeves down. I'm generally super careful with my watch. Although I understand not everyone is as careful as I am. My daily user of 10 y...

I am sure LF would be able to rectify without any difficulty and hopefully at no cost too. I would not have expected the knob to be manufactured this way. Hope it all turns our well soon! My AD has also been recommending LF for a while but after handling ...

issues with many of the independents. Not sure why, except so much hand work may have something to do with it. Don't give up on the watch or the brand.

Whether mass production or independent-they should be close to flawless...I would certainly disassociate myself from the brand if it were me...you should get a replacement watch or they should take it back...no excuse...and don’t get me going on why they ...

For this kind of indie manufacturer, I expect perfection. Or close to it. I also expect a super customer service, regardless if its client fault or not. I EXPECT the watch to be 10 levels higher in quality and reliability. want a 2 parts crown? OK, but ma... 

Everything that’s mechanically built is meant to malfunction at some point. But it also means that it can be repaired. This “setback” shouldn’t stop you from enjoying your hobby. A little trip to the spa would sort it out. Besides, there are only a number...

I would personally be a little upset too, since it is the second (or third) issue you've had. If it is a watch I really like, I try not let reliability issues get in the way of enjoying it. Sometimes the issues pile up or communication is poor and I lose ... 

LF watches certainly are good looking. But, your experience is more than enough to keep me away. When the price says exceptional quality, that is what the buyer should get. And these issues seem to be more than one-off or excusable mistakes.

Asking because I am seriously contemplating putting in an order for this model, but this single thread had caused me to demur (now thinking of pursuing a Moritz Grossmann or Gronefeld instead).
