IWC

So I aquired this 5005 in a trade a few weeks ago and have really enjoyed wearing the watch. It reminds me of how much I like IWC's. I've owned many over the years but have gotten away from the brand recently as the new releases over the last couple of ye...

It will be difficult to not being stcuk to brown. I am not sure that the combo black croc / this dial is the best. Too many colors for the same elegant watch. Try, you will see. What I would do is to play on an old croc, whose finish would be rugged, and ...

Hi Respo Great watch - is it a 3531 a small Portugese? The one with a JLC auto movement? Once of few IWCs that really get my attention - really nice watch & and the size is just right. Cheers JML

Lovely, lovely piece! An icon of style and simplicity and moreover a rare bird. I am so very happy for you (and the watch in fact) that you have found this. Such a piece deserves a caring owner. It never seizes to amaze me how often I share your taste in ... 

I hope that we will meet some day. I love reading about the WIS GTGs on this forum. I so rarely get to talk watches in real time here where I am. I love the idea of a shared watch collection. Brilliant! I will have to experiment with straps for this watch... 

I have also often toyed with the idea of attending one of the PPro GTGs but the short notice travelling involved is usually preventive for me. I will drop you a line in case I come near Piladelphia and expect you to do the same if you are ever close to Co...

I have only ever owned 2 IWCs and here they are: Spitfire XVI Portuguese 7 days I think this is a nice sample of the IWC range. It is not my current plan to trade or sell either. I think I would regret it too much if I did. Regards, Richard....

...The new IWCs since around 2000 haven't really appealed. Ref 866 Ingenieur is one of my favourites: I think the original Yacht Clubs are not given the respect they deserve. Lots of innovative features built on a rock solid movement: And the rattrapantes...

the 5251 is my fav, which i fell in love with 10 years ago, and the pert calender portuguiser.
